All the ingredients in this surprisingly tasty juice are good for supporting liver function. When you consider that the liver performs over 500 functions in the body, you can see it’s a good idea to give it as much support as possible.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 large carrots
2 sticks celery
2 leaves kale
half a raw beetroot
1 lemon, zest removed
Put all the ingredients through a juicer, starting with the kale, in order to get the most juice from it. Leaves are more difficult to extract juice from, so always start with these if you are using them in juices.
If you are feeling brave you can also add some washed Dandelion leaves (just one or two). These are excellent for Gallbladder support, as are other bitter foods.
