About the Growing for Health Events

We are facing many health and environmental challenges and the situation is not getting any better.

Statistics show that  the number of sufferers of virtually all chronic disease conditions are at an all-time high (Cancer Research UK, BHF, Connect Immune Research, Diabetes UK).

The situation for mental health is no better, with an estimated 1 in 4 people in the UK suffering from a mental health condition. Tragically, many sufferers are under 18.

We hear of environmental disasters and endangered or disappearing species on a regular basis. The situation can seem overwhelming and we can feel totally powerless to do anything meaningful.

As depressing as all this is, plants and gardening can help all the above in many more ways than you may realise.

These events will explain why plants and gardening are so vital to our own health, our children’s health, wildlife and the environment. They will also show you how you can benefit, whether you are an experienced gardener, an enthusiastic beginner or even if you don’t have a garden at all. The events  last 2.5 hours, with a break for refreshments and there is a free, comprehensive and fully referenced  e-book with a wealth of practical tips to help you biohack your health with plants! Spaces are limited so if you are interested, have a look at the venues and booking details below as soon as you can.

Proceeds are being donated to Greenfingers Charity to help build gardens for children with life-limiting conditions. For further information visit www.greenfingerscharity.org.uk

NB: If you don’t manage to secure a place or you are too far away from any of the venues, you can still obtain a copy of the e-book. Details for how to access it are given below.
